BODYPOWER EXPO 2014 preview

OK so it’s not strictly adventure but hey you probably love being healthy and strong, so it’s well worth a visit to BodyPower Expo at Birmingham’s NEC from 16th – 18th May 2014.

Here’s  just a few of the Expo’s most popular features areas and some of the product launches to expect at the show.

BODYPOWER FEATURE AREAS

Home to superstar athletes and some of the most revered trainers and nutritionists on the planet, the Super Theatre will be a central attraction in Hall 11 for 2014. The fantastic auditorium will host an incredible array of the finest fitness professionals in the world, offering visitors the most inspiring Q&A sessions, training tips and nutrition advice. Visitors can come and see these huge names on the Super Theatre stage, with seating for up to 1,500.

In association with British Weightlifting, the Olympic weightlifting area returns as a key feature within Hall 10. Showcasing some of Britain’s top competitors, including Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches, visitors will be able to enjoy demonstrations as well as the opportunity to sample the sport in practical interactive sessions.

For advice on how to get ripped and in shape for the summer in 2014, Beach Body Stage will be returning to give visitors the chance to get up close to some of the world’s leading fitness models. Come and learn from the very best in the industry as Beach Body stage delivers practical demonstrations on how to get in the shape for the summer.

If you’re looking to enhance your training and nutrition knowledge, The Academy will be open to all ticket holders, educating visitors to facilitate a healthier nation through an inspirational program. A selection of guest speakers will provide cutting edge training information and a varied mix of processes, ideologies and balanced views across a packed three day schedule. Visitors can enjoy an array of seminars and discussions surrounding nutrition, training, fat loss and hypertrophy.

In a major coup for BodyPower Expo, the official IFBB sanctioned BodyPower Pro will be the only pro show taking place in the UK in 2014. BodyPower Pro is set to feature an exciting and varied, three class line-up. Visitors can expect to see top names from the world of bodybuilding battling it out in a 212 class, women’s Figure and for the first time ever in the UK, BodyPower Pro will welcome a Pro Wheelchair class. Names already confirmed include IFBB and WBFF Pro Wheelchair athlete Nick Scott and IFBB Pro Wheelchair athlete Daniel Smith.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES

BodyPower Expo will have hundreds of exhibitors across all areas of the health and fitness market, promising something for everyone.

You can try out the revolutionary HurricaneMixx, a never seen before electronic battery operated Vortex Mixer. The compact HurricaneMixx has a leak proof lid, utilising suction technology and a safety clip to help keep the power of the Hurricane contained whilst having a durable mouthpiece for easy drinking. The perfect mix of power and convenience!

The show will also support the launch of TWIST, a new concept in the ready to drink market.  TWIST is a blend of real coffee granules and whey protein, you simply add water. Legacy Performance Sportswear is a new sports clothing brand bringing quality and affordability to the sport and fitness industry. CHECK will be launching its new training aid to the UK market, which will be available to trail throughout the show. Aimed at professional and recreational athletes requiring strength, explosive power, skill and coordination, as well as coaches and medical experts, CHECK helps users to optimise training, avoid over-training and reduce injuries by assessing their neuromuscular readiness and recovery.

First time exhibitors Protein Pouch will be launching an innovative new approach to training nutrition, which aims to help fit into busy lifestyles. Fully nutritionally tested, Protein Pouch’s individual chicken portions and three types of mash provide balanced, powerful nutrition, and will be available for the first time at BodyPower 2014 on Stand Q120 alongside Veggie Pouches, the perfect partner for each chicken portion.

Another new comer hoping to pave the way in science within the sports supplementation arena is Transdermal Technology. Ben Coomber, the owner and creator of Transdermal Technology, said: “Transdermal Technology isn’t something new, we are not re-inventing the wheel, but it is new to the sports supplement market.
