Chamonix really is a hub for adventure

It’s not too late to book up a flight and head out to Chamonix for the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy which starts this Thursday until Sunday.

This 6th edition will unite 400 alpine enthusiasts, mountain guides and professional athletes where beginners and experts alike can advance their mountain skills through 20 elite clinics.

New for this year will be an ‘Alpine Village’ repositioned from previous years to Place Balmat and Place du Triangle.

A solid daily program includes open-air master classes, a movie night, music, athlete demos, climbing walls and many more activities.

A Mountain Clean-Up kicks off the Academy on Thursday, June 29th when participants are welcomed to join pro athletes in collecting litter in the mountains surrounding Chamonix.

World-renowned alpinists and climbers share the beauty of the Alpine world, through a selection of inspiring films, Saturday, July 1st at 9pm.


NEW location in Place Balmat in the centre of Chamonix.

Fun & free events and activities take place at the Academy Alpine Village, from Friday to Sunday.

Get a sneak peek of Arc’teryx future products and collect Academy passport stamps to try and win prizes.

NEW this year: Open Air Master Classes on the big stage.

Listen and learn from inspirational talks from athletes and pros, like Ines Papert, Liam Lonsdale, Ken Wylie and Tamara Lunger.

Damaged your GORE-TEX® jacket? Bring it in for repair. Make sure you have washed it.

Climbing tower and bouldering wall to profile practical demos, rope work seminars, and the latest innovations regarding moving over rock. Also offered are opportunities to simply try climbing and bouldering, coached by local mountain guides.


Equipment from Arc’teryx, including apparel, packs, mountain boots, harnesses and mountaineering hardware will be available to test.
