New Kit: Thermo Rogue boots from Merrell

Fancy a winter pair of boots that give amazing grip on icy surfaces or snow, then be sure to check out the new Thermo Rogue.

These were the winner of a 2018 ISPO Gold Award in the Winter Boots category. The reason? Well Vibram has worked with Merrell to create a rubber compound for the soles (called ‘Arctic Grip™ Dura) and the lugs made from this compound give great grip on wet ice, snow and slush.

Other things to point out include the rubber toe cap and a bellows tongue, but the main feature relates to the ‘Thermo’ name as they come with 100 grams of PrimaLoft® Aerogel insulation in side them (there’s a Gore-Tex® membrane too) making them warm and water resistant.

Well worth a try on if you’re out boot shopping soon.

The Merrell Thermo Rogue are available in men and womens colours and are available from £179.99 at www.sportsshoes.com
