We hadn’t heard of W.T.Author until now, but it’s a British watchmaker based in Shropshire that makes some lovely adventure-inspired watches.
The brand is about to announce a new design, called the Nº 1973, which has a dive-watch styling and launches on Kickstarter next Tuesday 6th April.
It’s named after the year 1973 when the G10 NATO watch strap was first issued by the British Ministry of Defence.
The W.T. Author Nº 1973 will be available in five colours (Blue, Green, Black, Orange and Yellow) with each colour limited to 100. Each watch comes with two G10 NATO straps, black and orange, letting you switch between colours to suit.
You can also buy a separate 22mm solid stainless steel jubilee bracelet as an optional reward add-on to all pledges for £45 each instead of the usual £65.
The watch is guaranteed against any defects in material or workmanship that may occur under normal use for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase.
