The new Valsana Hotel in Arosa

The new Valsana Hotel in Arosa

The Valsana Hotel opens its doors for the first time next week and based on what we see from these photos, it combines that rustic warmth with modern facilities.

The hotel is spread across three buildings that look like they’re constructed of intricately patterned wood (see right) and they offer 40 double rooms, nine serviced apartments and open plan public areas.

The hotel is very close to the main cable car and gives you access to 225km of slopes. Other winter activities include snowshoe hiking, Nordic walking and 4.5 kilometres of winter sledge runs.

Open in both winter and summer, the hotel has two indoor tennis courts, a high-tech fitness studio, extensive spa facilities and a bike and ski shop.

The interiors have been designed by Swiss designer Carlo Rampazzi and reflect the alpine landscape. Rooms have oak floors, individually selected furniture pieces and stunning views giving that natural rustic warmth.
