Here are the new Summit Series VECTIV Pro and Summit Series VECTIV Sky trail running shoes from The North Face.
The VECTIV carbon-fibre and composite plate technology first came about in 2021 and since then many of the The North Face’s athletes have had success wearing them. Such as Katie Schide and her victory at the 2022 UTMB along with Elsey Davis’ record breaking winter Bob Graham Round.
This season, The North Face has made further development and has come up with ‘VECTIV™ 2.0’ which falls under the brand’s most premium product badge: Summit Series.
So you’ll see two new trail running shoes in shops – the Summit Vectiv Pro and the Summit Vectiv Sky (lightweight being the main difference compared to the Vectiv Pro).
SUMMIT VECTIV™ PRO
These have a winged carbon footplate giving you more confidence on loose surfaces, says The North Face. There’s lightweight cushioning along with a high-stack, high-rebound superfoam midsole that recovers kinetic energy, allowing you to generate more speed for the same effort without losing comfort.
SUMMIT VECTIV™ SKY
This is a lightweight shoe with a foam midsole, carbon footplate and mesh upper. The lower-stack foam midsole keeps you closer to the ground, enabling you to respond rapidly to twists in the trail.
FIRST-EVER SUMMIT SERIES TRAIL RUNNING COLLECTION
The launch of these two shoes also coincides with combined with the introduction of the Summit Series Trail Running Collection for the first season. This will replace the previously named Flight Series, and will see a number of technology additions and product refreshes to ensure the kit performs exactly how you need it to.
The new VECTIV™ range and the Summit Trail Run collections will be available to buy from 23rd February 2023 at www.thenorthface.com and in select The North Face stores. To keep up to date on future launches follow @thenorthfaceuk on Instagram and @thenorthface on Facebook.
