This is the Mutant Nimsdai 90 rucksack – named after Nimsdai Purja – the legend who climbed all 14 of the world’s 8,000m peaks in under seven months in 2019.
Nimsdai also then went on to become one of the first to summit K2 in winter without supplemental oxygen.
Osprey rucksacks were on his back for all of his achievements and this special version of the Mutant was born out of those adventures.
It’s a full-on expedition pack with a 90-litre capacity and every aspect has been created with feedback from Nimsdai and his team members. It aims to be able to ‘handle superior load carrying in a streamlined pack that delivers stability when it matters most’.
Key features are:
- + Lid access with an under-lid rope carry option
- + Upper and lower side compression straps with SR buckles (SR = Side Release)
- + Front shield-pocket for snow-shoes or crampons
- + SR-buckle release ice-tool holders (SR = Side Release)
- + Side ski carry loops
It comes in one colour (Tungsten Grey with orange detailing) and is available in back sizes S/M and M/L, both priced at £275.
