The Hambach workforce celebrates production of 'Job Number One'

The first INEOS Grenadier is off the production line

This will be a sight that many future Grenadier owners will be ecstatic to see – the very first production vehicle coming off the production line in Hambach.

Billed as ‘Job Number One’ with its JOB#1 numberplate, this Grenadier is a 2-seat commercial version in Sela Green (a £505 option) and is going to be owned by Ineos boss, Sir Jim Ratcliffe – and deservedly so.

This first production model now paves the way for customer deliveries to begin in December as Hambach continues a ‘all hands on deck’ approach to get cars built for customers.

Job Number One done – and will be owned by Sir Jim himself.

Production is slightly later than planned, but it’s a remarkable step forward given the global supply chain issues that continue to constrain output for all manufacturers.

Mark Tennant, INEOS Automotive Commercial Director said: “We’ve come a long way since the project kicked off in 2017 and this is a landmark moment for INEOS Automotive as a vehicle manufacturer. To get to this point is a testament to the resilience and hard work of the entire INEOS Automotive team, our development partners and our suppliers – for which we thank them all as we now look forward to making our first deliveries to customers.”
